BIOS Intelligence Report. Final No. 412. British Intelligence Objectives Sub-Committee (BIOS). 1946.
** A report by British Intelligence officers on an advanced differential analyzer under development and construction by the German firm of A. Ott of Kempten, Bavaria.
Duplicated typewritten report in English, 10 x 7.5 inches, 25 x 19 cms. 6 pages, 4 photographs, 2 sketches.
Very good in original stapled card wrappers.
The Ott company produced mechanical computing instruments of very high quality including part of the control mechanism for V2 rockets and was at the forefront of developmental and experimental work in the general area of applied mathematics.
The differential analyzer, although incomplete at this stage, held sufficient potential to merit close and detailed examination.
